Around 1996 this series incorporated Mickey's Fun Songs repackaged as Sing-Along Songs (a three volume live-action set in the style of Disneyland Fun). The third series, which began with 1994's Circle of Life, saw another new package design and the re-release of all previous volumes (excluding Fun with Music, repackaged as 101 Notes of Fun along with Hercules for markets outside North America).

The second series released in August 1990 with Under the Sea and Disneyland Fun, featuring a new design and reissued volumes labeled One (1) through Twelve (12) in North America (worldwide, volume numbers).

The first of four distinct series was issued beginning on December 23, 1986, with Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah, which would be followed by five more volumes. Scenes with Jiminy Cricket and Ludwig Von Drake were taken from television programs, including the Walt Disney anthology television series and The Mickey Mouse Club, which featured the characters in the 1950s and 1960s. Later volumes, as well as the two Christmas videos, do not feature a host at all. Professor Owl (now voiced by Corey Burton) hosts some of the videos, while either Jiminy Cricket or Ludwig Von Drake host others. Early releases open with a theme song introduction (written by Patrick DeRemer) containing footage featuring Professor Owl and his class, seen originally in 1953 in two Disney shorts, Melody and Toot, Whistle, Plunk, and Boom (voiced then by Bill Thompson). Lyrics for the songs are sometimes displayed on-screen with the Mickey Mouse icon as a " bouncing ball".

It makes you want to watch, to sing and to dance. The original 1986 Disney Sing Along Songs title card.ĭisney Sing-Along Songs is a series of videos on VHS, betamax, laserdisc, and DVD with musical moments from various Disney films, TV shows, and attractions. We love this DVD and would recommend it to everyone from 2 - 100 years old. I actually learned the words to Small World. I only wish the DVD was longer or had a volume 2 as it is so much fun to watch and listen to. I took dance lessons as a child right after Bobb y Burgesss - one of the official Mousekateers and a featured dancer on the Lawrence Welk show. I was one of the local grads who attended the first Grad Night at Disnelyand. The buckets are no longer there that went through the Matterhorn and the People Mover is long gone.

I enjoy seeing the changes that have taken place since the video was made. When the last song begins he starts telling me "AGAIN Grandma!" He loves watching the rides and tells me "I'm bigger now" when he sees rides he has never ridden. We start the DVD early in the morning and we sing the songs together all day long. We live in Anaheim and have annual passes so I take my grandson to Disneyland very often. I purchased this item to play for my 2 year old grandson when I babysit him two days a week. We play it all day long when my grandson visits.
